Every Classy&Cute girl works at their desk. Writing a book, reading a book, publishing a blog post, drinking coffee, working on homework, studying… All that stuff. Even just chilling and listening to music.
First of all, you gotta clear it off and give yourself room to breathe… And work.
And then you beautify it. :)
- Make sure to have all the essentials: your laptop, lamp, a couple pens and pencils (by couple, I mean A COUPLE!), and eraser. Move the essentials back onto your desk first.
- Emphasize on a COUPLE pens and pencils. You definitely don’t need any more than ten basic writing utensils, and I’m going to say that you probably only need three, at most. That’s a mechanical pencil, ballpoint or felt pen, and a heavy-duty Sharpie.
- Make sure to have a plant so you can breaatheee (fresh oxygen)! Just don’t forget to water it.
- Throw in whimsical bits and bobs to keep yourself inspired and entertained, but make sure to keep it to a minimum. Keep it with your color scheme.
- Add whatever else you need, and put it in your drawers. Staplers, tape dispensers, and hole punchers go in one drawer. Notebooks, which you should only have at most two of, go with the staplers, tape dispensers, and whatever into the same drawer.
- Keep an inbox and outbox on your desk, for incoming paper items, and going out paper items. DO NOT clutter your desk with random paper. It’s either incoming, going out, or currently working on. :P No, you may only work on one thing at a time. Classy means simple and minimalistic, not crazy and cluttered.
